I would love to see the housing system completely reworked so that, instead of defunct houses that stand empty due to no purpose, they became personalized areas for gathering. For a weekly gold payment, a single character can lease a house and hire an NPC that is specifically designed for the gathering of the single resource the player chooses (ore, amber, wood, wool, fish, etc.). The NPC will passively gather 100 units of the resource per day, which gets deposited directly in the character's bank. The character may also gather on their own and invite friends to gather in their area. For additional fees, the building and NPC can be upgraded for higher passive yields and perks (banking abilities, PK, etc.) The coding is already there for the NPC and warping aspects. Just need to adjust the housing areas to be able to yield materials and/or spawn the appropriate creatures. This would have the benefit of easing the wrist and forearm pain that gatherers gain as they go along and also help to reduce prices of raw materials with a large influx of them into the economy. With raw materials being reduced in price, crafted items should come down a bit. Add into that the gold sink for the rentals themselves and maybe some of the inflation can slow down or even reverse a little. Oh, also, while I'm dreaming of impossible things, I'd really like it if all the characters on an account could share a bank. -Sieo | |
