One I post now and then - I would love to be able to purchase additional character slots for my account. I have zero interest in multiboxing, so I'm simply not going to pay two registration fees to maintain two accounts. It's not like I'm playing the game twice as much. It's never happening. However, there's plenty of good reasons to want extra characters - experiment with some new roleplay, hunt in earnest with smaller players, etc. These kinds of outcomes are generally, I think, beneficial to the game. I'd happily pay $20-30 to add an extra permanent slot to an existing account, and I'd probably pick up a handful over time. Then on top of that, new characters mean more cosmetics, more inventory slots... it's potentially a reasonable amount of money on the table. Extra characters probably aren't really any kind of meaningful burden on on the system, so the cost here is just in implementing the logic to bump the limit via some purchase. Gotta be worthwhile, right? | |
