Dear citizens of Nexus. There have been posts about Nexus hack/cheat utilities that you can download from certain web sites. These are not cheat utilities but they are actually keyloggers. These are quite dangerous spyware. What they do is silently reside on your PC, and send out all the keystrokes that you type to hackers. If you think about what you type on your PC, such as account ID, character ID, password, credit card information, chatting, you can easily see how dangerous these programs can be. If you have these in your PC, hackers can actually access your email, and can even see the support email conversation between you and our Nexon staff. Many times these are not detected/cured by virus scanners, and the only cure might be to wipe and reinstall your Windows. If you get hacked by these spywares, basically you got hacked by trying to hack others, and it will be very difficult to get sympathy from Nexus staff or other people in Nexus. You are as guilty, and it demonstrates some other characteristics of your personality, which I will not go into detail. Please don't even think about downloading and running the programs you don't know. It not only jeopardizes your life in Nexus, but it can greatly damage your RL as well. And, yes, you will be punished in Nexus for such attempts. Please take care of yourself in Nexus and in RL. Wony | |
