A few days ago, I ventured north to purchase some rare
mountain herbs from a peddler in the Sanhae Valley. It
was a crisp morning; the cool air only cut by the warm
sun that was just peaking over the mountains. The small
village of Sanhae was already bustling with villagers
 beginning their day.

After purchasing my herbs, I decided to peruse the other
vendors to see if anything caught my eye. It wasn't long
before I came across the stall of a friendly-looking man
who was selling art supplies. We greeted each other, but
as I looked over his wares, I got the feeling that he
wanted to ask me a question.

"Was there something you wanted?" I asked.

"You're one of those Diviners, right? I... well..." he
 trailed off.

"You want me to read your fortune," I interjected.

 "Yes!"

"What is your name?" I asked with a soft laugh.

 "Byeon!"

I reached into my bag and pulled out my trusty deck of
tarot cards. I began to focus my Divine Sight as I slowly
shuffled the cards. Energy tingled through my fingertips
 and radiated through the deck.

"What seems to be the problem, Byeon?"

He explained that he lived in the Buyan capital, but could
only afford to set up shop in Sanhae. Business was doing
well and he had been saving as much gold as he could. He
still longed to move his stall closer to home - in the
capital itself - and wondered if that was in his future.

Without thinking, my hands flung three cards from the
deck. These represented the Past, Present, and Future. I
gave Byeon a reassuring smile (as he had begun to look
quite anxious) and flipped the first card over.

<b>  The Past: The Barrier

Byeon had faced many obstacles in the past to get to where
he is today. The economic situation within the kingdoms,
combined with the high rent in the Buyan capital, made it
very hard for Byeon to start his business. When presented
with the Barrier, you must find your way around it - which
Byeon did by starting his business in Sanhae.

<b>  The Present: The Tower

Through strength of will and determination, Byeon has
truly built a successful business. Folks come from all
over to purchase his art supplies; valuing their quality
and fair prices. In the business sense, he really is "on
top of the world" and should be proud of what his will-
power has allowed him to accomplish.

<b>  The Future: The Sun

It would seem, then, that Byeon's determination and strong
will shall pay off! The Sun shines on him and his great
success will let him move his business to the big city!
I foresee that a more metropolitan base of operations will
also lead to an increase in business. Great success awaits!

<b>                 ----------------------------

Byeon was, as you can imagine, overjoyed. He tried to give
me free art supplies, but I insisted upon paying. It is
not in a Diviner's nature to charge for our calling. I am
only happy that I was able to set Byeon's mind at ease and
 bring him joy.
