~~~Continued~~~ Hexagram 22 - Pi Mountain over Fire "Fire casts light upon a mountain," Velka murmured. "It reveals form, texture, and detail... every line and angle. This hexagram speaks of beauty, but not the shallow kind. This is beauty made by intention, by arrangement." She gestured toward the trinkets, tools, and half-organized chaos of the tavern. "You've carved this place with your own hands for hundreds of Yuri, but the world is shifting. Kings change, cities change, even markets change. Hard work alone is no longer enough. Pi tells you to adorn what you already have. Put things in order. Make small refinements. Even modest adjustments will create harmony." She smiled faintly. "Artwork... decoration... atmosphere. These help others see the energy and honest labor you've already poured into this place." Hexagram 53 - Chien Wind over Mountain "A tree grows on the side of a mountain," Velka said, tracing the shape with her fingertip. "Not suddenly but slowly and surely." Her voice softened. "Chien is patience. Quiet, steady advancement. Not a leap, not a gamble-just time, consistency, and intention." She met Yunsil's weary gaze. "You fear the tavern will be left behind if you keep running it the same way. And the Fates agree... you must change! But gently. Step by step. If you keep order, nurture creativity, and grow at a steady pace, this tavern will flourish again." "There is reward here," Velka concluded, "but only if you grow with the Kingdoms, not against them." "Yunsil, the world is not against you," Velka finished. "It is simply moving. And so must you. Bring beauty into this place. Clear the clutter. Let creativity breathe. Do small things, and do them well. Progress will come, not quickly, but certainly." Just then, Taur perked up. "I have been painting more!" he announced, digging enthusiastically through a corner before pulling out a large portrait of Yunsil reclining in a pile of coins. "I love it, Taur!" Yunsil exclaimed, snatching it from his hands and hanging it immediately on the wall. Velka wasn't entirely convinced of its artistic merit-but the smile on Yunsil's face was wide, genuine, and bright. And the hexagrams had already proven themselves true. ~Velka | |
