I toss this scroll to the winds in hopes that, through reading about my own self reflection, others may be inspired to do the same. To know yourself is to know the world around you, and all that. Through study of the Divine Chronicles and meditation I have come to the following conclusions. Let's start with the zodiac element I've chosen: Earth. Honesty, reliability, loyalty, practicality, and compassion are all traits I feel embody. I come from a small village where I spent most of my life thus far at a blacksmith's anvil. Those are the sorts of characteristics that naturally spring up in that environment. As for the negative traits associated with Earth, well, I'm no fool. To say I can be stubborn and risk-averse would be an understatement. It took a great deal of coaxing to get me to leave the little village of Kimchon behind. The zodiac animals are somewhat perplexing. To be frank, I'm unsure which I would say best suits me. However I have done my best to narrow it down to two: ox and dog. Being dependable and hard-working are two things I pride myself in. Persistence and a logical mind go hand in hand with those traits as well. The overly cautious and often stubborn nature of the ox also suits me. On the other hand, the loyalty, honesty, and bravery of the dog I also find appealing. Either one may suit me more or less on any given day, though if I were forced to choose, I would say ox. | |
