I have spent a great many hours reading through the Tome Of The Earth, after all of this time I have come to further respect the history that lay within these texts. I myself haven't always been so knowledgeable as I am now. I grew up without wealth, and because of this I had to do thing s I was not proud of. I stole crops from neighbors to help feed my family, I did not do this out of malice but out of a sense of duty to my family. It took me a long time to see my flaws, that happened mostly as I grew older and somewhat wiser. After becoming a Druid I swore never to make the same mistakes I did when I was younger. I took a vow to protect nature in all it's forms, and to maintain the balance. After reading the history of the druids I learned of the hardships that past druid have suffered, and from that I have learned ways to prevent similar things from happening. I'm certain I will still make mistakes, but I will also learn from them as will hopefully others. Life is all about gaining more knowledge and my goal is to use that knowledge to better aid those around me while also keeping the balance with nature. ~Vaelis | |
