Neutrality is a deceptively simple concept.

It seems straight forward but can actually be difficult to put into practice when faced with challenges in real time.  We are born with a and develop our own conscience which inclines us to hope for particular outcomes in any given situation.  If we see a perceived injustice, it can be nigh impossible for some people not to get involved.  Such is the challenge of reconciliation.

In a practical sense, however, it can be applied as a commitment not to become involved in influencing outcomes for others.  We can choose to respect their autonomy and allow them to design their own fates, free of our opinions of praise or condemnation. This can be particularly difficult when it involves those we care about.

Taking a broader scope, to me, as Ranger Elder, it means not getting dragged into the drama and warfare that occasionally plagues the kingdoms.  I simply look to the natural world for guidance, and she is ever-wise and impartial; generously providing for all life without furthering it's own agenda or pushing any dogma.  This is the spirit I seek to uphold.
