The Gods & Goddesses speak to us in many ways. Perhaps the light falls a certain way and insight comes. Perhaps they come on kitten's feet in your dreams, whispering secrets. The flicker of a candle, a cold wind in summer, or the feather of a raven's wing.

Bonds are meant to last, when they are given heartfelt consent. Blodeuwedd represents many things. Goddess of flowers born from flowers and birdsong. Idyllic and lovely. Her story holds many messages but it was not this alone which drew me in.

Watching the moon's phases, where it is always itself no matter the form, I saw a lone owl on wing. I could not help but smile. Perhaps the call of an owl is not song like the linnet or the cooing sweetness of the dove. Yet there is something powerful and knowing in their soft questions to the darkness, in the silent pass of wing.

My heart leapt as it dropped a meadowsweet bloom at my feet. Meadowsweet which not only is a lovely blossom, but also has medicinal use. Gentle scent often used to make a room more pleasing as well.

The second night, I went searching by the shores of my favorite lake. It's silent waters reflecting the moon as I pondered the questions before me again. The snowy bird circled again and dropped a broom blossom, brighter than morning sun, and disturbed the waters before flying off again. Such a humble plant but the deeper meaning of protection against tricks--a reminder to follow one's heart.

The third night, in the wee hours as dreams began to tug at my mind. I saw the Flower Faced owl again, bright moon eyes holding the secrets from between the stars--and on my desk woke to find a spray of the oak's boughs. Which are a boon of strength and also a source of food for many in the forest.

All 3 were blossoms of Blodeuwedd but reminders that meant so much to me as well. Thus I come to present my dedication to Blodeuwedd the woman born from flowers.
