The sun had just started to peek over the horizon, casting a warm orange glow on everything around. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flowers and a warm nova's glow. It was the summer of Hyul 137. In a small village named Paekche just a hairbreadth away from the extraordinary Kingdom of Koguryo. The heart of the forest, where the trees grew tall and the leaves rustled in the wind, there lived Suyung and the noble family of foxes. Suyung was a curious creature, with bright eyes and a nak for adventure. He had developed a kinsman with these noble creatures and had distinguished himself a protector. He spent his days exploring the woods, chasing after rabbits and squirrels, and playing in the streams that flowed through the forest floor. Suyung and his grandfather live in a small but cozy cottage. His grandfather was a loving advocate, guiding his grandson along the path of life. He would encourage Suyung to have a sense of self-worth that gave him a strong start and helped him rise to life's challenges. Yet life is a short journey a perilous journey cut short by the hands of fate. Yet in the midst of grief Suyung found an even greater connection to the foxes for now they were his only family. In the stand still of his grandfathers demise Suyung spent more time now than ever of a boundless never-ending festivity of frolic and play. As a duration passed and the knowledge and connection this family shared was abundant and fruitful. However, as Suyung gained age he too gained wisdom, the wisdom he needed to move back to a more humanistic side again. Suyung fancied himself a lumberjack and he found an understanding with this trait, which lead him to become a carpenter. He would spend a great deal of time honing his skills sharpening them like a blacksmith tempering his blade. That sense of belonging was still a dull ache in his heart, so he decided to join the Koguryan Army. This gave him a sense of worth and family again. Even though Suyung tried to associate and belong with the collective bunch, yet the call to the wild side was prominent. He began to reminisce of his tales with fox and long for that connection the army supplied but the bond between animal and humankind cannot be replicated. Suyung ventured for a way to reconnect with the animal kingdom, which lead him to a group of Druids within the wilderness. They too had tales to share with Suyung and together they began to hark back of time well spent. One particular Druid was touched by his devotion. So, he deviated from the path and offered a chance to bestow a gift that would forever change Suyung's life?. a transformation. With this gift however it would not just change his life but his appearance as well. He began to show signs of the fox, a fluffy tail, and long ears. Suyung had surpassed his dream and graduated to an alliance with the gods that blessed him with this eternal gift. Suyung's journey was not over though. In these kingdoms a tournament was held, a game. To hunt and capture these foxes. It was called, a FOX HUNT. This did not set well with Suyung, so he did a series of investigations to this activity. He found though they brought them no harm they still caused anguish and tribulation. Yet, Suyung was powerless to stop this atrocious, but this would not stop him. Suyung sought to become a Chongun. A noble guardian of the people, but why must it stop there. He would learn all he could from them and work to bring a balance to his problem. Dont worrie I dont intend to stop fox hunts. Thank you for reading. Suyung | |
