It's been a long time since I visited the inns of home. I remember my first night here, the kindness of the inn keeper who took me into her Tavern when I did not know the lands nor myself.

I'd been visit Tinbae the messenger when I thought of San-Tei next door. A light smile lifts my lips and I am curious to see how she is getting on.

As usual she is at work, restacking bowls and plates in the cupboards from the morning's meal..only she is frantic, hastily doing so and mumbling of the next things will do on her list of chores.

I greet her and she jumps, swiftly turning on her heels to scan me.

A look of panic and fear for a moment, recognising me her face softens slightly though she still looks visibly worried.

"What's wrong San-Tei?" I ask her.

"Sorry, Rosalina. I thought you might have been someone else. All this talk of the Phoenix shards, all that has been happening...I have much worry that evil is returning. I cannot relax, I have not slept! I keep myself busy to stay awake."

I see that she is trembling as she speaks of her fear.

"Perhaps divine cards can tell us more?" I ask her, drawing the Tarot Deck from my pocket, she nods.

I pull through the tarot cards, touching each one with intention to wake the deck.
As I start to shuffle the first card jumps out. Representing the past I turn it over...
Flame.
"In the past there has been danger and destruction. You have had to be cautious in your actions and remain vigilant"
San-Tei nods in agreement as I shuffle the deck for the card of the present and one pulls my attention away from the rest. I lay it down...
Barrier.
"A block in your thoughts and actions - perhaps not sure how you should proceed? Not knowing which path to take?"
San-Tei nods again though she seems to anticipate the next draw with worry"
I shuffle the deck again and another card jumps out. I turn the card over that represents the future...
Tower.
"Strength is coming to you, you will endure these hard times - seek comfort in the community working together, your sisters. Here one alone might perish but if we all work together..."
Her eyes flicker with hope, an idea as she nods quickly.
"Yes! My sisters and I all work the taverns of Nagnang...we can help spread word to our guests to ensure everyone is safe from evils. We can all work together like the foundations of the tower!"
I smile softly at her as she gets up and continues to work in maintaining the inn, though her movements now are more relaxed, she starts to hum a merry tune to herself as I leave for home.
