Today, I spent some time at the water island in the northwest of Kugnae to meditate with a gem of my choosing. The place was quiet, surrounded by soft ripples. As I sat by the water, and as the sunlight moved over the gem, I felt a quiet connection, my own path reflecting back at me through the gem.

As I was finishing, I sensed someone nearby. It was Baek, who had set up his small scroll shop near the island. He waved gently before stepping closer.

"May I ask what you were doing out there?" he asked.

I told him about my practice of how I meditated with gems to glimpse patterns of fate. He listened closely, a hint of curiosity lighting his face.

"That sounds remarkable," he said. "If you have time, would you do a reading for me?"

I nodded and asked what he wished to know.

"I have been asked to help with the upcoming festival." he explained. "I will need to prepare scrolls and other supplies. It is always a busy time, but this year feels... bigger somehow. I just want to know if I am ready, and whether my efforts will make a difference."

I thanked him for his trust and explained how the reading would work. From my bag, I poured a handful of small gems onto the ground and asked him to choose two. After a moment, he selected Yellow Amber and Flame Amber, then handed them to me with care.

I held the Yellow Amber first. Inside its yellow depths, lights shimmered and formed a soft halo. "This stone speaks of clarity and remembrance," I told him. "When light gathers and forms halo, it reveals a realization. A rediscovery of purpose."

Then I gazed into the Flame Amber. Its glow deepened, flickering like a small fire trapped within the stone. "This one burns for passion and renewal," I said. "When its light takes the shape of a flame, it is a message to act, to transform what you already have into something greater."

I placed both stones together in my hands. "These two together, speak of awakening through effort. You will soon know what needs to be done to prepare for the festival. It may take extra work this time, but with patience and renewed passion, your contribution will shine."

Baek smiled. "Thank you," he said. "That gives me peace. I will start preparing right away. And this time, I will give it my all."

He bowed slightly before returning to his shop, his steps lighter than before.
