The ways of Fox, I watch through narrowed eyes. The sway of the grass disturbed by a landing butterfly and rustle of rabbits. Vigilant, I stay quiet to watch and observe. What is out there? Predator or prey? I will not succumb myself to be prey so I must watch steadfast and adapt. Ever changing, I'm high alert to prepare myself, and this is how I train. I watch creatures, listening to the cadence of nature and Awen around me. Life is present in all things and through observation, I grow closer to her but remain adaptable. The bear that strikes, or deer that bucks, I move to heal, to avoid, to protect, and to prevent. I am the fox, and the fox is me. We are one as we observe and strike, moving with swiftness to face our day. | |
