What does neutrality mean to me? Hmmm...I think it has multiple meanings, or at least one meaning with multiple applications. I think neutrality can be a mental state. I believe having a neutral mental state is the place our minds must be in to absorb information as well as apply logic best to the through process. I would think of it as a state of reasoning, with emotion blocked as best as possible during the time. I also believe neutrality can be described as a transitional state between to different stages of being. If I had to give an example of what I mean, it would be the cacoon state that comes between caterpillar and butterfly. Motionless, yet changing. Neither one nor the other. I think neutrality also has another meaning that is simply not choosing a side, regardless of how a person individually thinks or feels. The best example would be a mediator. The goal is to reach an agreement, not decide which party is correct. So, what does neutrality mean to me? I think I would have to accept the commonalities among my examples as being the best description of my thoughts. It would mean to observe before acting. It would be the safer place both physically and mentally where outcomes are pondered. It would be the center of conflict, but not the conflict itsself. Neutrality would be balance among chaos.
