Subject :An open letter on the Royal Guard of Nagnang
Date :10/25
To those concerned:

It is more than obvious that some figures are using their voices or elevvated positions to sow discord in the kingdom of Nagnang. They utter childish insults, haranguing, harassment, and threats in order to stir up emotions and attempt to manipulate people into performing whatever actions they want to see happen, and push an agenda that can only be called evil and hateful in nature. They veil it under a guise of wanting to "protect" Nagnang, or shout treason in a faux spirit of national pride.

If one really loved their kingdom, they would want it to prosper in a place of peaceful coexistance.  Furthermore, calls of wanton violence with such juvenile glee can only be called a symptom of sickness, as the outcriers do not understand the true wages of war.

Regarding the Royal Guard of Nagnang (RGN), many may not know its purpose, as we are a mysterious, mostly plain-clothes operation.

We are the personal guard of King ChaeRi, not an army (which was disbanded after the assassination of Prince Kija). Our function is to serve the royal throne, foremost, with our tertiary functions being assisting in diplomatic matters and keep watch on kingdom security. We are composed of selected mercenaries of various talents, who have displayed high support for the throne. Because we are a mostly plain-clothes operation, not many see what we are doing. That is the point. We are not meant to be seen parading about in full regalia.

Regarding calls for sword-clashes with the RGN, which can only be called yet another try for civil unrest and chaos in our kingdom, our time is better spent mitigating the damages of more important issues at hand.

Our honor is to our Sovereign, not to those who seek to barrage us with insults in an attempt to rile us up to action in order to distract us from our duties.

We have nothing to prove to anyone, but to His Highness. There is nothing anyone can say that will change this fact. No amount of letters, taunts over the winds, or angry shouts in the field will make the Royal Guard bend to the demands of childish catcalling and attempts to disparage or humiliate.

Consider us deaf to it. You will only grow hoarse from yelling and your wrist will ache with futile writings on the subject.

Regarding King ChaeRi, his interest has only ever been the strength and security of the kingdom.

Furthermore, the "threats" generated recently are indeed modern. Before the calls for vengeance began anew after centuries of coexistence, we were in equillibrium with our neighbors. The kingdom was whole and protected before fabrications were created as reasons to go up in arms.

Just because he has not been a puppet to other individuals' personal agendas, or some people's alternative ideas for how to run a kingdom, does not mean his thoughts and actions aren't honorable and just. His duties require him to think on a grander scale than entertaining the individuals desiring bloodshed to answer whatever twisted sense of vengeance has come upon their soul.

The man has a warrior's spirit that is tempered for the protection and goodwill of our kingdom, and I am proud to stand at his side, and the side of our Princess.

Signed,
Heira Nakajima Xing-Normad'or
General of Nagnang
