Insect and I were tasked with traveling into the Mythic Ox Cave looking for a family jewel that an adventurer named Jo'Hannah had lost there. Before going too far in, we left a trail of Kindred talismans behind us so we wouldnt get lost. As we made our way deeper into the cave, we found fresh water and were able to get beef from the bulls inside, this made the trip bearable as we had left without much preparation. There were sooo many bulls throughout the cave, some were blocking the paths we needed to take so whenever we could, we set sleep traps to go around them rather than killing them all. There were a few, however, that left us no choice but to fight our way through. While searching, we started finding footprints and signs of a struggle. It looked like Jo'Hannah had gotten into a fight with a bunch of angry bulls. We followed the hurried footprints through a couple pathways until at last we found a letter she had left behind. The letter gave us the clue we needed and confirmed that this was where she had lost her jewel. Just as we had finished reading the letter we were cornered by a mob of angry bulls! Quickly and decisively we snared as many as we could and struck them down. Lo' and behold in the belly of one of the slain bulls we spotted a shiny object. We pulled the object out of the mess we made and it appeared to be the jewel we set off to retrieve. Once we had the jewel, we started making our way back. The cave was easy to get turned around in, but the Kindred talismans we had left behind showed us the way. We followed them one by one until we reached the entrance safely. It was a long trip, but between the water, food, traps, and the trail we left for ourselves, we were able to make it deep into the cave and back out again. Jo'Hannah's Jewel now found, we brought it back to our Guide to return to her. | |
