After completing my studies in Crystallomancy, I traveled through Kugnae and stopped at the library to continue my own search for knowledge. While there, I met Pond, the librarian. As we spoke, Pond noticed the Stardrop I was carrying and asked about my studies. I explained that I had been learning Crystallomancy and offered to perform a reading for him. Pond told me that although he had spent much of his life surrounded by books, he sometimes wondered if there were answers that could not be found within them. He asked what the crystal might show about the path ahead of him. I placed the Stardrop before me and began my reading. As I gazed into it, the light seemed to form several paths. One appeared to lead toward books and familiar knowledge, while another seemed to lead somewhere unknown. A third path disappeared into darkness before becoming visible again farther ahead. I interpreted these as different possibilities for Pond's future. I told him that his search for knowledge would continue, but that not every answer could be found in a book. Some things must be learned through experience, observation, and the choices we make. The reading also reminded me of my Trancing vision, where I saw myself listening to someone who had come to me seeking guidance. I had not known who that person would be, but meeting Pond made me wonder if the vision had been preparing me for this encounter. The Stardrop did not show me a single fixed future. Instead, it showed possibilities and reminded me that knowledge can reveal a path, but it is our choices that determine where that path leads. /) Ebisu Masayume Diviner of Yin and Yang | |
