To Be A Master of Security There was a time when I believed strength alone made a great protector. I thought that the sharpest blade, the strongest arm, or the loudest command was what secured a kingdom. Years of service taught me otherwise. As Lt. General of the Koguryo Royal Army, I have stood where many soldiers only dream of standing. I have studied the Art of War and learned that battles are rarely won by force alone. True victory begins long before swords are drawn. It begins in preparation, observation, patience, and understanding the mind of an enemy before they even take their first step. My training in Security reinforced what experience had already begun teaching me. Security is not merely guarding walls or standing at gates. Security is understanding threats before they become dangers. It is seeing what others overlook. It is watching patterns, questioning unusual events, and anticipating what comes next. I have traveled on Ranger expeditions through wild and uncertain lands. I have participated in Ranger scouting missions where silence meant survival and where a single overlooked trail could change the outcome of an operation. I have joined Chongun mission hunts where patience and discipline mattered more than speed. Every mission carried lessons. Every journey sharpened my judgment. I learned that a Master of Security is not the one who wins every fight. A Master of Security is the one who prevents the fight from happening in the first place. It is the one who keeps their people alive by preparing for danger before danger arrives. I do not call myself a Master of Security because of my rank. I do not claim it because I have commanded soldiers or because I have stood in positions of authority. I claim it because I have walked the path required to understand the responsibility of protecting others. I have studied, trained, hunted, scouted, and endured. A title can be given by a kingdom, but mastery is earned through experience. That is why I believe I have become a Master of Security. -Lt. General Aukti | |
